As you already read (the post before this one) the family went for a stroll up on campus tonight. We returned home around 8:30 which is past Emma's bedtime. I'm telling you that because normally the moon is not out before Emma goes to bed. We were out the other night and she did see the moon for the first time. (or the first time that she ever noticed it) It was just a sliver, but she was interested. Tonight it was very full and bright. We got her out of the car and took her down to the street so she could see the moon through the trees. She was in awe of it. She kept pointing and walking quickly down the sidewalk reaching up into the sky. She wanted so badly to touch it. It was neat watching her discover one of God's greatest creations. A creation that I often taken for granted.
All I could think was that I wanted so badly to help her touch the moon.
