During the TV season, we have some friends over every Wednesday nig
ht to eat, hang out, and watch Lost (and American Idol in the Spring). Now that we're, well, lost without our TV shows, we've had to get a bit more creative for our Wednesday gatherings. This past week, we decided to picnic at Gulley Park. The kids played on the playground, the guys tossed the frisbee, and the girls chatted. Easily one of the best pictures of the night is seen here...that's me and Josh riding the spring horse on the kids' playground. Thankfully, it has two massive sprin
gs supporting it. Notice how low it gets on MY side? Yeah...it's the whole "fat kid on the opposite side of the teeter-totter" effect. It was fun, and made for some great pictures. As you can see, Emma was a bit miffed by what we were doing. As was everyone else at the park.
In other news, I'm still in a blogging funk. I have about 5 posts that I want to write about, but just can't seem to muster up the motivation to do so.
In other, other news, we're going on vacation! Seaside (actually Sea Grove) Florida! I hate the beach. I hate the sand. I love the pictures-taking opportunities. I love the golf. I'm pretty sure I'll like the beach/sand much more after this trip, as I'll get to play with Emma on the beach. Lots and lots of shovelling and sandcastle building are in my immediate future. Should be fun. It'll be REALLY nice to get the heck away from the office for a while. I need a break. I need about a 2 month break...with pay. It's been since New York last Spring since I've been away for a full week. Sad, eh?
