John's parents with Emma at Silver Dollar City. We took Emma to see the Christmas lights there. She just pointed, laughed, and smiled all night long. Of course, it was really cold, so we had to bundle her up in this stinking cute hat and mittens!
The Saturday after Thanksgiving, we went to eat at Tim's Pizza on the Fayetteville Square with the Hannon family. Then we went over and strolled around the square to see the lights. We were freezing, but Emma was REALLY digging the lights. She just kept pointing and waving her mitten-clad hands at the lights all around her. It was pretty stinking cute.
Emma just started walking around with the help of a push-cart thing. This is the look of pride she flashed me while Allison turned the cart around.
I just realized...I'm a blogging fool! I've posted like 3 (4 including this one) entries in 24 hours! I wish everyone was as bloggy as me. The Ring of Fellowship would be a lot cooler that way.

I'm a pretty big fan of the blog ring that's going on. I find myself checking it a few times throughout the day to see if anyone posted or commented or commented about a comment. I'm pretty addicted to it.
And what I find pretty amazingly weird is this: people I'm not really sure I know or have met have links to my blog! Crazy.
And when I meet people, they're like "Oh yeah! You're the Nellie Spot!" (I changed the name recently because Miller said it sounded strange...I crumple quickly under peer pressure, so it's now just 'John & Allison Nelson').
Anyway, just wanted to give a shout out (such a junior high phrase) to the Blog Ring. Maybe we should formally title the Blog Ring this: The Ring of Fellowship! (you know, instead of the Fellowship of the Ring...get it?)
Man, I'm witty.

We had to get some miscellaneous items from Lowe's tonight and we decided to go to the new one in Springdale.
Before we left, Belle (our very needy but cute doggie) heard us talking about "going" somewhere and was getting pretty pumped up. We were in the Fayetteville Lowe's a few weeks ago and had seen someone with their dog, so we decided to call Lowe's and see if they had a pet policy.
The lady who answered said they don't have a policy and that tons of people bring their pets into the store; and as long as they don't bother anyone, they're welcome to come in!
So we packed up the whole family and headed to Lowe's! There usually aren't very many people there in the evenings, so that was good. As we walked in, 2 clerks just kind of looked at us. They didn't smile, and they didn't frown. It was very ackward. As we walked the isles, employees just looked at us, then at Belle, then back at us. Again, never smiling nor frowning. Still very ackward.
We finally ran across a guy who I initially thought was gay. He was obviously a dog person and got down there and pet Belle for a long time as we all talked. We later found out that he had a 2 month old baby at home and understood the "needy dog" situation. So he wasn't gay. Could've fooled me.
We passed several employees and shoppers in the store. Each one looking at us in bewilderment. We just smiled and walked on by.
So, we got a pretty darn nuetral response from the Lowe's employees overall. But shout out to the nice not-gay man who welcomed us with open arms. You made our trip and experiment worth it all.

During this incredibly exciting life I live, I was blog-surfing during my lunch break at work. For some strange reason, I always check out The Archer Chronicles to see if by chance Matt or Kerrie have added anything to their blog. I am usually disappointed to find the same fly fishing blog entry. Apparently, they don't do anything, and haven't since Matt went fly fishing in March.
So, browse their site the other day only to find...a new blog entry!!! I was so overwhelmed with joy that Matt decided to share his life with the blog world again, that I was inspired to blog about how amazed, impressed, and overjoyed that Matt blogged. Yes, a blog entry about how I'm excited about someone else's blog entry. Feel the power of my exicting life unfolding yet?
I'm talking to Jason Miller during a round of Halo 2 the other night and mention that Archer finally blogged. He just laughs a bit and says I should read the entry a bit closer.
Turns out, I had been hornswoggled! Miller, with his crazy Mission Impossible skills, hacked into the Matt's blog and created the entry!
If people were Transformers, Miller would be a Decepticon.
Dirty trick.

And I'm horribly addicted to the game.
I was telling Allison a few weeks ago that my social needs were flaring up and that I needed to spend some time with groups of people soon.
Well, sadly enough, the online playing with the clan (and those who have yet to commit) is totally meeting and exceeding my social needs! Way to solve my problems, Halo 2!

A trip to Silver Dollar City on Saturday. It was the first day for SDC to have their Christmas stuff up. Emma's waving at a really old lady behind me.
